Rabbits have some pretty major attitude. Mature males rabbits do serious injury and even kill each other if put together. I used to have rabbits years ago. One of them was so prone to attacking anyone who got near his food dish that I was the only one in the family who would feed him. He'd put his two front paws tight together, holding them out stiffly in front of him like Superman, and launch himself right at you, nailing you with his claws. Then, if you weren't quick enough to get out of the way or grab him, he'd dive in and start biting, and let me tell you, rabbits have some pretty long sharp teeth! He drew blood on me a few times. (Yes, it lead to many Monty Python jokes.)

I built a little outdoor, chicken wire-enclosed yard I'd let my rabbits run around in, and it didn't take long for my cats to learn to give it a wide berth. If they got too close to the fence, the rabbits would kick the fence hard with both back feet, smacking the curious kitties right in the face. Funniest thing I saw was one of my cats getting between the wire fence and some plastic sheeting draped on it for a windblock. My rabbit kicked my cat, the cat tried to run, the rabbit kept kicking with a vengeance, and poor little kitty got ricocheted back and forth between the fence and the plastic sheeting about a dozen times before he escaped. My cat took off for the house like his tail was on fire, and my rabbit sat there, glaring after him and looking smug.

I actually have scars on my left forearm from a "pet" rabbit that we rescued from an abusive situation. He used to charge at you growling and go after your ankles if you happened to by walking by his hiding spot. I was a young teenager who was very used to being around aggressive animals, but that rabbit unsettled me.
